With a rich tradition of excellence, BSoR's athletic program strives to teach students physical and mental skills, self-discipline, and sportsmanship, while motivating athletes to strive for greatness. We offer 38 teams in 15 different sports.

Individualized Approach

Single-Sex Education

The formation of young women and young men is best fostered during the adolescent years in the context of a single-sex educational environment and a supportive community.

Saint Gertrude High School and Benedictine College Preparatory, while embracing a common Catholic culture based on Benedictine values, maintain distinct single-sex academic and leadership programs.

Benedictine’s military model and Saint Gertrude’s leadership program are both designed to create a holistic learning experience for all of our students through activities and organizations that build leadership, personal accountability, confidence, and a recognition of the responsibilities of citizenship in our community and in the greater world. 

Building Leaders

Located in Goochland, Virginia, the two schools share a peaceful, modern, and sprawling campus including the campus’s new, world-class athletic facilities. A 50,000 square-foot, leadership-focused, STEM-ready school for the students of Saint Gertrude is near completion, and a 20-acre contiguous athletic campus expansion that will accommodate new athletic fields and complexes to support both the Cadets and Gators is also underway.
